  • Rectus Abdominis

 

Rationale Behind Utilization of the Bench Press:

The Bench Press is an excellent exercise to increase one’s upper body strength while also learning to activate one’s core to be able to stay balanced across the stability ball. Athletes must learn to keep their core activated in order to be able to drive the dumbbells upward. Arm positions for this exercise can vary based on desired muscles and technique looking to be employed.
