Rationale Behind Utilization of the Suspended Row:

The Suspended Row, commonly known as an inverted row, is a great bodyweight exercise to assist in increasing one's upper back strength. This is a very necessary component in our sport for better posture and air position. The suspended row is an excellent tool for beginners to attain the proper strength and preparation for Pull-Ups. Some athletes will struggle at first with the straight leg version and can be assisted by bending their knees or by the use of a flexband to support them, so there is not so much weight on the arms. For those that excel at this exercise, for more difficulty you can increase the number of repetitions, elevated the feet, or add resistance. Any of these options will make the exercise much more difficult, the one you should use will depend on the strength of the athlete.
